FAQ

If you are new to Massage Siam Wellness, chances are you’ve got some questions. Below are the answers to the questions that are most commonly asked. Should you have additional questions please feel free to contact the Siam Wellness nearest you.

How much is membership?

There is no membership fee. Simply enjoy at least one massage treatment a month for 6 or 12 months at your preferred member price.

Will I be charged monthly for my membership?

We do not pre-charge each month. You pay for each treatment at the time the treatment is received. If you do not book a treatment one month, the monthly treatment fee is processed and kept on file as a credit for a second monthly treatment during your membership.

How does the membership work?

Enjoy a massage treatment a month for 6 or 12 months at your preferred member price. If you want more than one treatment per month, you’ll enjoy the preferred member price every time you visit. As a bonus, we extend the preferred member price to family members in your household – without the monthly commitment. However, you will need to fulfill your monthly commitment regardless of how often your family members receive treatments. If you do not book your monthly treatment, simply save it and enjoy a second treatment another month. The monthly treatment fee is processed and kept on file as a credit for a second monthly treatment during any month of your membership.

What type of massage stretches you?

Summary: Thai massage is more active than other forms of massage, and the therapist will stretch your body in addition to providing a massage. This is another type of massage where you remain fully clothed.

What do you wear for a full body massage?

For a full-body massage, you can opt to keep your pants on or go completely in the buff. You’ll find that most massage therapists are very skilled at protecting your modesty and making you feel comfortable; you’ll never have to uncover anything you’d rather not.

Is it OK to have massage every day?

You may seek deep tissue massages daily, a few times a week, or a few times a month for pain. Your massage therapist can recommend a frequency and duration to address the underlying health condition prompting this type of massage.

How often is too often for a massage?

In most cases, after an injury, your therapist may recommend massage once or twice a week throughout your recovery. If you have a chronic health condition, one a week, or bi-weekly is typically recommended but this also depends on how your body feels

Does a full body massage include private parts?

Full body massage means head to toe including everything. Not only private parts but a full body massage includes your hair, head, eyes, ears, and chin. Although it’s a total body massage from top to bottom still you will be kicked out of the massage room before time.

What should you not do during a massage?

Don’t eat a heavy meal before a treatment; it could make you feel uncomfortable during your session. Do limit caffeine, it could make you jittery and prevent you from fully relaxing during your treatment. Do get in the jaccuzzi tub. This will warm up your body and help calm your body, mind and spirit.

How long should I get a massage for?

Typically massage therapy should be at least 50 minutes to one hour for a general full body treatment to be effective. Some establishments offer forty-five and fifty minute session

How often should you self massage?

Typically, once every week or two is ideal for keeping your muscle tissue pliable and in good shape. If you are in chronic pain or have a special issue to address, you might need to come weekly (or even twice a week) until you feel better.

What happens if you over massage?

Applying too much pressure to the tissue or pulling it too far can exacerbate an injury or cause problems that were not there already. There are many therapists out there that unfortunately do not understand this. In my own experience.

Is it good to stretch after a massage?

Stretching after your massage is a way of preserving the benefits. Stretching after you exercise is also a way of preserving the benefits of the activity you just did. When you stretch you prevent your muscles from seizing up and retain the strength and elasticity within.

Why do I get sick after a massage?

If you have too much lymph in your body, it can build up in the tissues under the skin’s surface — the same tissues that are manipulated during a massage. It would make sense, then, that a deep-tissue rubdown would cause your body to suddenly be flooded with those toxins in your lymph, making you suddenly feel icky.

What happens if you fall asleep during a massage?

As any massage therapist will tell you, it is completely acceptable to fall asleep during a massage session. In fact, it is a very healthy and normal reaction to an extremely relaxing stimulus.

Why do I poop after a massage?

Massage to the Rescue

This slows down breathing and your circulation, lowers your blood pressure and turns back on your digestion (the repetitive strokes of a massage on the lower torso also help stimulate the large intestine). This is why requested.

Do you wear a bra in a massage?

Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others prefer to be nude. It’s up to you. Women usually remove their bras to allow the massage therapist to work on the back and shoulder area without getting massage oil or lotion on the bra.

Is too much massage harmful?

Some forms of massage can leave you feeling a bit sore the next day. But massage shouldn’t ordinarily be painful or uncomfortable. If any part of your massage doesn’t feel right or is painful, speak up right away. Most serious problems come from too much pressure during massage.

Experts recommend limiting your exposure to hot showers, so either keep your post-massage shower brief or turn down the heat. The bottom line is that you can shower after your massage if it’s your preference, but you should shower safely.

How long do the effects of massage last?

Are neck massages safe?

Massage therapy for the neck is a relatively safe treatment. Some people may experience increased neck soreness and/or swelling shortly after a massage, but these side effects typically do not last long.

Do massages raise blood pressure?

But some things are deal breakers. Patients with high blood pressure who are not on medication should rethink this hands-on therapy method. “Because getting a massage will increase your blood flow,” Young explained, “that increase in a patient with already high blood pressure could cause problems.”

Is it okay to massage a person with fever?

You should also not get a massage if you have a fever. If you are sensitive to the touch in any way avoid massage which will stimulate the skin. A firm massage moves the body around with light force, which can increase feelings of nausea, so if you are already feeling nauseous be sure to avoid massages.

Does body massage lower blood pressure?

Long-term studies have shown that a consistent massage program can decrease diastolic and systolic blood pressure; decrease salivary and urinary cortisol stress-hormone levels; and lower sources for depression, anxiety and hostility, as well as many other benefits.

Do muscle knots go away on their own?

Sometimes muscle knots go away on their own, but in many cases, steps need to be taken to loosen the muscle and resolve the pain. There are many things that contribute to muscle knots. They include: Dehydration – If you’re not drinking enough water per day, then it can make you more prone to developing muscle knots.

How long does it take to remove muscle knots?

Start small—a single session of about 30 seconds might be enough, give or take depending on how helpful it feels. Five minutes is roughly the maximum that any trigger point will need at one time, but there is not really any limit — if rubbing the trigger point continues to feel good, feel free to keep going.

Is it bad to take a bath after a massage?

How Do I Cancel an Appointment?

If you’d like to cancel an appointment with your therapist please call 12 hours before your scheduled session to avoid your therapist charging you the full amount of your appointment. Practitioners at the Center have put this policy in place to be fair to all their clients.

The practitioners at the Center have asked us to let their clients know that if you arrive late to your appointment, you are welcome to use whatever time you have left in your session but your therapist may be booked after your session and unable to your extend your time.

Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my massage?

The practitioners at the Center have asked that we remind their clients of the following:

It’s important to shower shortly before your massage either at home, earlier that day. First time clients are encouraged by practitioners to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment so that they can fill out a brief health profile and enjoy the facilities before their session begins.

How Should I Dress for my Massage Therapy Treatment?

Before your massage therapy session begins, you’ll be changing into a robe and sandals either in the locker room area or, if it’s more comfortable for you, in your room. During your massage, practitioners drape their clients with a sheet and will only undrape the areas that are being worked on. Clients are welcome to wear underwear underneath their robes if it’s more comfortable for them.

Do I need to do anything after I’ve changed?

After you change into a robe and sandals, all you have to do is walk to your room, close the door behind you, hang up your robe behind the shelves and lie down on the table underneath the top sheet, either face up or face down as your therapist has indicated their preference. Shortly afterwards, your therapist will knock on the door and walk in to begin your session.

What do I do if I don’t feel comfortable during my massage therapy session?

Therapists have asked us to remind their clients that if there’s anything they can do to make your session more comfortable, please ask. The heating pad on your table can be turned up or down, the music to be louder or softer, or you can ask for a softer or firmer touch to ensure you experience the best massage therapy session possible.

Onko thaihieronta suositeltavaa vanhuksille?

Asiakkaat nauttivat joogan eduista ― kireiden nivelten avaamisesta syvään rentoutumiseen ― yksinkertaisesti siirtämisestä passiivisesti joogamaisiin asentoihin. Syvimmiltään tavoitteena on palauttaa yhteyden kokemus itse elämään.
